Manchester City ready to spend again if needed in January - Source

Manchester City are planning  to go back into the transfer market in January if Pep Guardiola wants to purchase more players to his squad, a source has told ESPN FC.

Guardiola brought in five new faces in the summer -- Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Leroy Sane, John Stones and Claudio Bravo -- with a further three new signings -- Aaron Mooy, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Marlos Moreno -- all sent out on loan.

Another player expecting to join City is forward striker  when Brazilian 19-year-old Gabriel Jesus completes his switch to the Etihad Stadium from Palmeiras in January.

However, a source has told ESPN FC that City will not hesitate in spending again when the transfer window opens if Guardiola feels he needs to strengthen his squad further.

The Catalan could potentially add another central midfielder with Yaya Toure not being considered for the first team until his agent Dimitri Seluk apologises for comments made about the coach and with City heavily reliant on Fernandinho.
