Nigeria fighter jets bomb Town Occupied by Boko Haram

Nigerian fighter jets have bombed the northeast town of Malam Fatori, controlled by Boko Haram Islamists, the military said Thursday.
Witnesses and some media reports said troops and airforce planes from neighbouring Chad were involved in the operation on Nigerian soil but Abuja neither confirmed nor denied the claim. There was no initial word on casualties or whether Boko Haram fighters had fled the area. "Malam Fatori is within the area of operation covered by the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) of which Chad has always been a part," defence spokesman Chris Olukolade told AFP in a text message. "The Nigerian airforce has also been conducting (an) air mission there for two days now," he added. "It is all part of the ongoing efforts against terrorism." The MNJTF was set up more than a decade ago to combat smuggling in the remote region but as the Nigerian Islamist insurgency in the area intensified, the mandate of the force changed. …

Chinese-Made Drone Crash Land In Nigeria

This January 25, 2015 photo appears to show a Chinese made CH-3 drone, owned by Nigeria, which has crash landed upside down. The two AR-1 ATGMs attached to its wing pylons suggest that Nigeria is turning to drone strikes as the bloody war against Boko Haram continues.

As the war against Boko Haram intensify, the Nigerian government has taken a bold step by requesting China to provide her with all necessary weapons of war-fare, since Nigeria's former ally, the United States has refused to release their modern weapon.

This CCTV 7 broadcast from October 2013 shows a CH-3 UCAV firing a AR-1 anti-tank missile at a ground target. While the U.S. and allies have been reluctant to export UCAV technology, China has been far less shy, with Nigeria, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as probable customers already.

While the United States has refuse to provide Nigeria with the weapons, China is taking up the responsibility with an exchange for Crude Oil.

Who killed ex-spy Agent, Alexander Litvinenko?

Alexander Litvinenko is pictured in a London hospital on November 20, 2006, three days before his death.
In 2006, I watched on Fox news how a former member of the Kremlin, Alexander Litvinenko  lay dying on his bed side in Britain and the question on everyone's lips was Who was responsible for his death?
Litvinenko had many enemies. He was a former agent of the Russian Federal Security Service, the FSB, the post-Soviet successor of the feared KGB. Investigation has begun in Britain has to know those that were behind his murder.  Apparently, before his death, Litvinenko pointed accusing fingers at the current president of Russia, Vladimir Putin,. "You may succeed in silencing me but that silence comes at a price," Litvinenko said in the statement from his deathbed. "You may succeed in silencing one man but the howl of protest from around the world will reverberate, Mr. Putin, in your ears for the rest of your life." UK prosecutors have asked for the extradi…

Wonders shall never end even in the 21st century.
A Minnesota man is being quizzed by police for elderly neglect and financial exploitation of his mother.
Investigators are trying to determine if David Vanzo’s mother was already dead when he brought her into the bank to make a withdrawal though Vanzo has come out to deny the allegations. Seven hours before Vanzo reported his mother dead, he took her to the bank to make a withdrawal. Vanzo was pushing her in a wheelchair and bank employees claimed the woman’s feet were dragging under it. According to a search warrant that cited the bank employees, they did not see her move and could not tell if she was breathing that day. Vanzo allegedly withdrew $850 in his mother’s name while at the bank. A neighbor claimed to see the two leaving their home in a taxi. “I don’t know if she was unconscious, or not alive,” the neighbor told FOX 9. Our joints ache, bones break and faces wrinkle.

Drones: Easiest and safest way to traffic drugs

A quadcopter hexacopter has recently crashed into a Mexican supermarket parking lot located somewhere near the country's California border, and one of the possible reasons is that its payload was just too heavy for it. No, it wasn't carrying cameras or even fertilizer: it was loaded with meth.

More than six whole pounds of methamphetamine, to be precise, piled and taped on top of the poor six-propeller drone-turned-drug-mule. Authorities are still investigating where the package came from, where it was headed and which real-life Walter White had the not-so-brilliant idea of strapping too much drugs to a small flying contraption.

According to Tijuana police spokesperson Jorge Morrua, this isn't the first time they've seen a drone used to deliver drugs. Something similar happened in South Carolina last year, as well, when a drone carrying weed, cellphones and cigarettes was caught outside a prison fence.

Then again, we probably shouldn't be surprised: a…

Chewing Gum For 10 Minutes Kills 100 Million Oral Bacteria- Researcher Says

Researchers at the University of Groningen, Netherlands has come out to say that chewing gum can capture and eliminate bacteria from the mouth. The experiment asked five biomedical engineering students to chew two different standard types of spearmint gum for different ranges of time, from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
The volunteers were asked to spit the gum into a cup of water, according to Medical Daily. With about 100 million bacteria on every piece of chewed-up gum, It was clear that the more you chew your gum, the more bacteria you can chew and remove.

After 30 seconds, the gum loses it adhesiveness, and is found to have captured less bacteria. "Trapped bacteria were clearly visualised in chewed gum using scanning-electron-microscopy," researchers said in the paper published in the journal PLOS ONE.

This is almost as good as using a new, clean toothbrush even without toothpaste to remove 100 million colony-forming units (CFUs) per brush. Hence, chewing gum …
