Election will hold! Council of State Insist
Amidst fear, conflict, violence and terrorist attack, the National Council of States which comprises of all former Presidents and Heads of State, Serving President of the Nation, the Vice-President, all former Chief Justices of Nigeria, President of the Senate, all Governors of the state and the Attorney-General of the Federation.
Also in attendance were INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega, the National Security Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), FCT Minister Bala Muhammed and other stakeholders.
Major Issues discussed were, the Nation's security challenges and the forthcoming elections.
The members insisted the general elections must hold but elections in troubled zones may be postponed.
Former past President, Olusegun Obasanjo was however absent from the meeting and no reason has yet been given.
The meeting, which started around 11.56 a.m. and ended after 7.pm.
Our prayer this day is ''No More Bloodshed! We want peace to reign all over Nigeria because Nigeria is the last hope for the Black Race.
