The hysteria appears to have come from one story claiming that the veteran drug baron had made a break again.

And some Twitter users were quick to jump on the apparent false news too – with the story appearing to be a hoax.
El Chapo is currently said to be awaiting to be extradited for crimes in the US.
He faces charges of money laundering, drug trafficking, kidnapping and murder in cities that include Chicago, Miami and New York.
Last month, a new 'El Chapo' was captured by cops after a spate of drug trafficking and alleged arms dealing.
