Graphic Photos of Soldiers Giving Jungle Justice To Rebels
There has been so
much violence in the Central African Republic since last year when a former
rebel seized power.
The violence has mostly been between the Muslims and the
Christian groups.
The Soldiers decided to take the law into their hands by
lynching a man suspecting to be a member of the Muslim Seleka rebels.
The lynching is the latest in a series of shocking acts in
CAR which have continued despite the resignation of the rebel leader who seized
power last year.
The man was stabbed and beaten to death and then his body
burned in the capital, Bangui, BBC reports.
It happened just moments after interim President
Catherine Samba-Panza finished speaking at an army ceremony.
UN envoy Babacar Gaye said the killing of the man was
“unacceptable” and “must be properly investigated and the culprits punished and
made an example of”.
