16 People Vie For The Post Of National Chairman of PDP
After the unceremonial resignation of the National Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, about 16 top shots of the party are in the race to be the next national chairman of the party.
Its being reported that many of the aspirants have been sending delegates to lobby President Goodluck Jonathan; First Lady Patience Jonathan; Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih; PDP governors and members of the National Working Committee(NWC) for support but the President and his strategy team, headed by Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, have restrained from making any commitment to the aspirants.
Also, it is said that the Presidency is already running a security check on each of them.
