Typhoon Nari hits central Vietnam

Over 120 thousand people were evacuated from central areas of Vietnam due to typhoon Nari, local media reports said on Tuesday.
Hundreds of homes have been destroyed, several power lines have been interrupted. The wind speed exceeds 100 km/h.
Vietnamese
air carrier Vietnam Airlines on Monday canceled 14 flights. In its
statement, the air carrier said that on Tuesday another 8 flights would
be postponed.
The typhoon season in the Pacific Ocean
runs from June to October. These atmospheric vortices are formed in
areas of low pressure near the equator and rush to the northern
latitudes, causing great damage to countries and areas of Southeast
Asia.
