South Africa Returns $15 million to Nigeria
The South African government has released to Nigeria the sum of $15million that was seized in 2014 from the previous administration.
The money which they claim is to purchase arms to combat the dreaded Boko Haram Terrorist.
According to PR Nigeria, a security news medium, the money has been released. The agency was quoted at the weekend, saying the money was released as a result of some legal and diplomatic processes initiated by the former national security adviser, which "ensured that cash seized by the South African government during the cash-for-arms saga last year have been fully recovered by Nigeria".
PR Nigeria added that, "President Goodluck Jonathan's administration was forced to resort to the alternative market to obtain arms when Western powers blocked every access to the formal arms market but the cash was seized both at the airport and in the bank".
