Police Officer saves homeless man by giving Him his Sweatshirt

A newyork police officer has shown a Christmas Kindness to an homeless man that was freezing to death, the police officer, Carlos Ramos, was on patrol when he came across the man on the sidewalk amid zero-freezing temperatures. The man's boots had gotten wet, so he was trying to tear off a piece of his shirt to wrap around his feet. 
The Police officer was filled with sympathy and offered his sweatshirt to the helpless man, but the man initially refuse it, worried that Ramos would then be cold.
after much persuasion from the Policeman, the homeless man collected the shirt and wore it.
He  felt so happy wearing the shirt.
Ramos said it made him "feel good." He said he hopes his act of kindness inspires others to "help each other."
Its in such situatin that the phrase "Police is your friend"  makes real sense. not in this part of the world.
