Canada’s Immigration Website Crashed As Donald Trump Elected President Of United States

Canada's immigration website started facing troubles hours before Trump was declared the 45th president of the United States. Evidently, lots of anxious American citizens people are looking to move to Canada. On the other hand, Canadians are using #WhatYouDoNotKnowAboutCanada hashtag on Twitter and tweeting witty posts.

The latest presidential elections are historical due to many different reasons. Donald Trump has been elected as the 45th president of the United States. This victory is expected to have widespread impact of America’s financial policies and its relationship with the world.
Apart from the long-term impacts, a strange incident happened on Tuesday night when the US election results started to pour in. The Government of Canada’s immigration website crashed. At the moment, some people are still facing problems to access the website.

If you’ve followed the presidential campaign closely, you might be able to guess the reason. Apparently, tons of people are looking to leave the country and move to Canada.

The Citizenship and Immigration Canada offers the different ways to apply for living in or becoming a citizen of Canada. To live in Canada, one needs to apply for the permanent residency in the country.

Canada’s official Twitter account also tweeted a message that appears to be in reference the US elections:

In Canada, immigrants are encouraged to bring their cultural traditions with them and share them with their fellow citizens.
