Saudi Postpones Flogging of Blogger

A Saudi blogger by the name Raif Badawi, 31, who was sentenced in 2013 to seven years imprisonment and 600 lashes which was later increased to ten years imprisonment and 1000 lashes after appeal is breathing a sigh of temporary relief as the Saudi government seems to be bowing to international pressure.
The Court also fined him 1 million Saudi riyals, about $266,000.
Raif received his first flogging on January 9 in Jeddah and this prompt public outcry.   
Saudi authorities is said to have postponed his last week's flogging due to the doctor's advice.
Oh! need i forget to tell of his alleged crime, he is said to be guilty of breaking Saudi Arabia's technology laws and insulting Islamic religious figures through his blog.
Raif is said to be happily married with 3 kids who has since moved to Canada.
